Chronic Bronchitis is a chronic inflammation  of the bronchi (medium-size airways) in the lungs. It is generally considered one of the two forms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease  (COPD). It is defined clinically as a persistent cough that produces sputum  (phlegm) and mucus, for at least three months in two consecutive years.

   Adjunct Therapy

   1.  muculytic - liquify mucus secretion
   2.  expectorant - removes mucus secretion


B - Breathing exercise like Diagphramatic breathing
     Broncodilators  ( S A X )
       S - symptominetic
       A - aminophyline
       X - xanthiro derivative - theophyline

C - Chest Physiotherapy  - removes mucus secretions
    Corticosteroid (anti-inflammatory) incorporated w/ metered dose inhalers.

D - Drugs as adjunct therapy

   1. mucolytic - Carbosistine
   2. expectorant - Gulafenesin

E - expectorant

F - Fluid Intake
